"I've been to this salon twice now & I am thrilled with the services I recieved! This review is based on my latest visit in January of 2020.
My hair is black naturally, curly, frizzy and porous (that difficult middle eastern kind of hair haha) and I had a previous balayage with new growth of 5 months ( a few inches or so of natural black at the top then some highlights that transition to the blondish bottom).
I booked a session for full highlights. I asked Patricia for as much blonde and as bright as possible, and ashy hair as I could get. Patricia listened to what my goals were and provided exactly that! I didn't ever think it would be possible to go from such a dark color to so much light and pull it off but she made it happen with the perfect shades. I am truly SO SO happy with the bright fresh look of my hair. I just could not stop smiling at the salon!!! initially did not book a hair cut but it was recommended based on the health of my hair that I at least get a trim due to the fact that my hair had not been cut in 5 months and i was re-bleaching.
I took them up on the recommendation and was paired up with the lovely Lia for my hair cut and styling. Lia (just like Patricia) was a genuine sweet heart and a pleasure to sit and chat with! She kept me updated every step of the way as she washed out my bleach and toned my hair. She gave an amazing relaxing massage with the cleaning and toning. I felt i was on a vacation. I expressed to Lia that I wanted to cut as little length as possible to keep my locks healthy and we looked over a few photos together to decide how the shape would be. I did not feel rushed and she truly just wanted me to be happy with my results. We decided on a bit of layers and v shaped base along with some angled bangs. She assured me and showed me as she cut that she was doing more shaping and not removing much length at all. Lia even taught me how to create beach waves with the straightener as she worked through and gave me a little photoshoot after!!!!! She was hilarious and fabulous.
I had a wonderful time getting my hair done and the results were great from the dream team Patricia and Lia!
Not a huge deal here but I did have a couple questions about pricing when I went to pay my bill as I learned there were changes made (price increase) that did not reflect on their website where I booked, but Patricia kindly took care of honoring the price I booked the service at. There was also an unlisted Toner fee of $35 that I wasn't aware of initially that was charged separately than the full highlights -- so I personally would recommend that you confirm pricing of services/charges at the time of appointment/booking so everyone is on the same page.
Overall I definitely recommend Citrine Salon's very talented team! Thanks Citrine Salon for the great hair - I look fwd to coming back in the future!!"
